Philadelphia — Frankford Candy LLC partnered with Blommer Chocolate Co. to donate more than 150,000 milk chocolate candy bars to hospitals around Philadelphia during June and July, Frankford reports.
The bars were delivered to 20 local hospitals, including Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital, Lankenau Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, according to the candymaker.
"As a long-standing Philadelphia based chocolate manufacturer, we wanted to spread our thanks to our local healthcare workers who have tirelessly supported our community throughout this pandemic.” says Stuart Selarnick, Frankford Candy CEO and a 2014 Candy Hall of Fame inductee. “We’ve been making chocolate for almost 75 years and have brought sweetness into our consumers lives through many difficult periods. Donating chocolate to our community is our way of expressing our appreciation and showing our support."
