With all the media coverage on the melamine contamination of dairy products from China we feel a responsibility to our customers to issue a statement so that, you the consumer can feel confident that we are supplying a safe product.
Statement:
Frankford Candy takes the issue of melamine contamination of Chinese milk powder and dairy products very seriously. It is our primary concern as a confectionery company to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
All products manufactured by Frankford Candy and our co-manufacturers are in compliance with the Food and Drug Administration regulations.
We set and apply strict standards to ensure that our ingredient suppliers and co-manufacturers maintain and adhere to a quality process in the production of our products. Our products are subjected to continuous quality tests to ensure the highest level of product quality and safety.
Frankford Candy items that do not state milk and or milk protein in the ingredient statement do not contain any milk or milk protein in their production.
We certify that all of our manufactured and/or imported items are Melamine free. We have received guarantees from all our co-manufacturers and suppliers that their products and ingredients are Melamine free. Therefore, to the best of our knowledge, we can declare that melamine is not present in any of our products.
